The mission Great Lakes Intertribal Food Coalition is to heal our communities by strengthening our Indigenous food networks
The Great Lakes Intertribal Food Coalition (GLIFC) is a Tribally-led Coalition working to build Tribal food sovereignty across the Great Lakes Region. We are led by representatives of all 11 federally recognized Tribes in Wisconsin and one Tribe in Michigan. Through multiple initiatives, we support Tribes in their efforts to expand their own food systems and coordinate initiatives to build Intertribal food networks based on fresh, minimally-processed, and traditional foods.
